“She Persisted” Enamel Pin Color Palette Expansion

The “She Persisted” enamel pin expansion on Kickstarter was a deeply meaningful project that combined creativity, storytelling, and community engagement. Inspired by Senator Elizabeth Warren’s silencing during a critical moment in history, I created the original black and rose gold pin to embody resilience and defiance. The initial success of this design led to the ambitious expansion of the collection.

Through Kickstarter, I raised $20,187 from 694 backers on a modest $145 goal, earning the campaign recognition as a “Project We Love.” With this incredible support, I expanded the collection to include the entire Pantone 2017 spring and fall color palettes, symbolizing both contemporary style and historical significance, such as the suffragette colors of white, green, and purple.

The campaign also featured a Kickstarter-exclusive lavender glitter pin, 5x7 kiss-cut sticker sheets, a collectible display board for the full pin set, and a 2x2 “She Persisted” black heart patch. By introducing thoughtful stretch goals and tiered rewards, I ensured backers at every level felt valued and engaged.

This project wasn’t just about pins—it was about creating a movement through design. The overwhelmingly positive response underscored the importance of persistence, both in the message of the pin and in navigating the complexities of a multi-tiered crowdfunding campaign. Leveraging feedback from my previous Kickstarter, I refined my approach, delivering a seamless experience and achieving on-time fulfillment while working with trusted manufacturers.

The “She Persisted” expansion exemplifies my ability to craft meaningful, high-quality products and manage a complex campaign from concept to completion. It stands as a testament to the power of creativity, collaboration, and resilience in achieving something truly impactful.
